The Nitty-Gritty on Power
Here is the thing: the output of these lamps depends entirely on the gas mix and how thick the quartz envelope is. We dial in the wattage and voltage so you get the exact irradiance you need. If you’re running fast conveyor belts, you’ll want the high-wattage setup to handle the heat and speed. But a word of caution:**make sure your power supplies match the lamp’s impedance.**If they don’t, you’re looking at electrode failure. It’s a quick way to burn out a perfectly good tube.
Built to Last (and Fit)
We use high-purity synthetic quartz because regular glass just can’t take the heat. It would “solarize” and cloud up under intense UV. We also keep the connectors standardized. Why? Because nobody wants a headache during installation. These are designed to be drop-in replacements for your existing ovens. Depending on how much space you have, we can tweak the end-caps to make sure you get a tight electrical seal. We do offer coated versions if you need to shift the spectral output. Just keep in mind that this is a bit of a trade-off; you get more precision with the wavelength, but you lose a little bit of overall light intensity.
